3 Apartment Plants that Require Little Water

Plants are great and all. But with a busy lifestyle centered around family, work, and friends, who has time to water plants? If you are looking to put more green into your apartments décor but cannot trust yourself keeping a plant alive (don’t’ worry, we can’t either), then do we have the list for you. Here are three plants that require little water and upkeep to stay live.

Ponytail Palm: this is a wonderful looking plant, similar to a mini palm tree, that would spice up your apartments décor. The Palm thrives on very little water, and all it really needs is a lot of sun light.

Philodendron: is another Mexican bred plant that loves being dry. The plant also thrives in low light, so even if you forget all about it, things should be fine.

Crown of Thorns: this South African plant sounds like something straight out of Game of Thrones. The plant requires little water or upkeep and prefers to be dry.

Where Should I Watch the Rio Olympics in Riverside?

Now that the Rio Olympics are finally here, it’s time to clear your schedule and start watching the events. NBC is expected to provide over 6000 hours of coverage on various channels over the course of the next few weeks. So your only job is to watch and cheer on the Americans. The best way to take in the events is by hitting a sports bar and watching on multiple TVs. If you are looking to grab a beer and enjoy the athletes, here are three great sports bars that will be showing the events.

Watch Batman Vs Superman at the Riverside Library

Do the summer blues have your kids down? If you have children who are stuck in the apartment all day, why not send them to the Riverside library to expend some energy? The library hosts a number of awesome events for young kids during the summer. And in early August they will be showing “Batman vs Superman”. Sending your kids to hang out at the library is also a safe and free way to keep the young ones entertained and out of the heat until they go back to school. Here is a bit more information about the movie event and Riverside library in general. Have fun and be sure to keep the kids busy during the rest of the summer.

3 Travel Hacks Everyone Should Try

If you are traveling for a much needed weekend trip, things can get chaotic. The key is to be prepared and try to make the trip as stress free as possible. Here is a quick look at three travel hacks everyone should try during their next trip.

Roll not fold: rolling your clothes instead of folding them will save more space. Thus allowing you to pack even more clothes.

Fragile: mark your bag as fragile. Bag handler will place your bag on top of the pile and handle it with more care. Your bag will also be one of the first ones off of the airplane too.

Buy snacks: paying for every meal can be expensive on a trip. Even if your room doesn’t have a refrigerator, buy nonperishable foods like bread and peanut butter to make sandwiches for breakfast.

3 Tips For Grilling Amazing Burgers this Summer

We expected many of you will be grilling this summer (or at least someone you know). The weather gets to hot that even cooking dinner on a random Tuesday can be unbearable. Here are a few tips for cooking mouth-watering hamburgers over the next few months.

Mix in olive oil: adding a little EVOO to your ground beef before you make the patties will help keep the extra-lean burgers moist while cooking.

Mix in Parmigiano-Reggiano: mixing in some parmesan cheese will to the savory tastes from the inside. Your guest will be coming back for seconds.

Grill on high: if you are looking for a truly juicy burger, cook the beef on high and not on medium or low (your burger will just dry out). Ground beef cooks easily for charbroiling it will get the best results.
